Thank you!

“NEW” President’s Choice Gluten-Free Products

Superstore now has gluten-free products available under the President’s Choice label … available in the bakery section.  I picked up the Lemon Poppyseed loaf yesterday in the Atholville store and it is delicious.  More options out there for us.  If anyone tried the bread please let us know how it is.  🙂

There’s a New Gluten-free Chex Cereal!  General Mills has added Apple Cinnamon Chex as the sixth in its line of gluten-free cereals. Only available in U.S. at the moment.  Cinnamon Chex is my favourite so Apple Cinnamon should be even better.  🙂

Hidden Valley Relabels Gluten-Free Products

Coming soon to a store near you is one less thing to worry about. According to this press release, Hidden Valley salad dressings and mixes which are gluten-free will be clearly labeled as such thanks to new packaging. While this isn’t a reformulation of any products, it is a “stronger and clearer assurance to the growing number of people who are seeking gluten-free products.”

Kinnikinnick Thin Pizza Crust is the best gluten-free pizza crust I have tried yet.  Thanks to my son Marc I was able to try it for the first time tonight and I thoroughly enjoyed it. ♥  ㋡

Le Veneziane cookies are the best store bought gluten free cookies that I have eaten.  They were purchased from Dolma Foods at 251 St. George St., Moncton … just in case you want to try them.  ㋡

Duinkerken Bread Mix is the best gluten free bread mix I have tried.  The crust is not like “real bread” but the texture is very close and the taste is great.  It was great with spaghetti and with peanut butter and jam.  Yummy!  I had made it my mission this winter to find the perfect gluten free bread recipe.  I had a few failures and then decided to try this mix.  If you were a home made bread lover before going gluten free I think you will like this one.  I will still try to find the perfect recipe but will defintely make this one again. ㋡

Here is a picture of my bread so you can see the texture.

I am not sure where I purchased this mix but I think it was from Sobeys in Campbellton.  I am quite sure I seen it in Superstore in Bathurst also … don’t think they have it in the Atholville store.

Kinnikinnick Soft Breads & Buns are now available.

Here is what Kinnikinnick had to say …

“Availability We’ve already started shipping orders to our distributors and the word is spreading in the retail stores but the official launch date is in March. It will take some time for the new breads to hit the stores. You will be able to buy them directly from our website and a limited number of retail stores starting today.
The situation is a bit different with our new Soft Hamburger & Soft Hot Dog Buns. Starting, immediately, these new items will be replacing our existing hot dog & hamburger buns. If your store is currently carrying either bun, you’ll know the new ones are in stock when you see the bright yellow package.”
